I am using the old version aparently -- I don't get options to click to uninstall only part of the program.

Any other placed listed to remove PART of CA and not all?

Dear CA-friends,

but what will to be done in that following case ???

Though I did everything, written in this forum, I still can find in my ‘Control Panel’ under ‘Add or Remove Programs’ the following entries:

CA Licensing

but also

eTrust Antivirus Registration

now I do not know anymore how to delete these above mentioned both entries ???

Anyway these both entries can not at all be removed / deleted in that way written in all these forums !!!

I also never found any key 'VETWIN32Vp5' though I only had the eTrust AntiVirus-Program !

Is here anybody in this thread that might be able to help ??

I fear that the obove mentioned entries might perhaps cause any kind of damages to my computer ?!?!?

Thanks in advance

Default Removal tools for Ca Internet Security suite program

Hi Schnuggibutzerl,

You can try running the removal tool for the eTrust eZArmor software. You have the link in this knowledge document:

http://crm.my-etrust.com/CIDocument.asp?SimpleUI=1&GUID=BB5CB2568B4F4EF18A4 7E2CA0BCBC353&ExternalCallID=0&Ver=&AddBookmark=0& KDId=3195

Now this tool is supposed to remove all the traces of ezArmor including the files which you mentioned. Try running this tool.Lets see......

:)

Dear "ryan",

thank you very much for your answer :) Sorry for my really very late reaction but I didn't find time before !!

But now I've the problem while opening your above mentioned link, I only receive this following line: “An error has occurred: null : generated by notifyWhenSSExeRunning” I know, that I'm not !!! the only one that has got this fault.

I really don’t know what to do now ?? Could anybody be so kind to tell me what could be done as next step ???

Thanks in advance yours

Schnuggibutzerl :)

Hi Schnuggibutzerl,

I guess the product which you have installed on your computer is Etrust Antivirus which is a enterprise (SMB) version and the removal tool which you have used so far as mentioned in the previous posts are for the consumer versions and thats the reason you have this problem.

These removal tools are designed to remove the consumer version of CA product not to SMB versions.

You can try this:

Click on start - run - regedit and locate the below given keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall

expand the Uninstall key and you will find a bunch of CLSID under it (example: {00203668-8170-44A0-BE44-B632FA4D780F})
You need to click on each CLSID key and look at the right hand side (right pane) and check whether it says `CA Licensing` or eTrust Antivirus Registration and one which says that delete that CLSID .

Go to add/remove programs now and check for the existence of the CA entries.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi, dear Avihs  ,

thank you very much for your really good ment help and advice !!!
But I'm still / again sorry, all my search under ALL CLSID keys do NOT at ALL say `CA Licensing` nor 'eTrust Antivirus Registration' and also none which says that delete that CLSID . There was nothing about any CA / eTrust !!!
I'm really sorry but that didn't help !

Thanks again yours

Schnuggibutzerl
