Help! We successfully purchased, downloaded and installed our ss renewal, rebooted, and got the confirmation email. Our license expiration still has tomorrow's date and we are still gettting renewal notices. We went to licreg.exe as suggested and tried to fix it there with no success. On our account status page, it actually lists the expiration of the suite as "Never," which doesn't seem right either. What now?

Hey bj,

Did you actually uninstall the previous CA security software from your computer before you installed the new software?
If you did not, then you will need to now uninstall all CA software and then reinstall the suite with the correct license key.

The 'Never' status under your account is normal if you are enrolled in continuous protection.
See below for more information about this.

Terranigma, thanks for this answer. You're right about both things. I didn't mean to sign up for automatic renewal, but I guess I did.

After posting my last note, we did uninstall the security suite ... and now have a whole new problem. It's telling me the setup.exe and one other exe that I can't remember are corrupted and it won't install anything. What do I do now? Can I download the file again, or would I have to pay again? bj

Yeah, you can download the file again.

See the below for relevant download links,

Once you have downloaded the software, you should be able to install it with your correct license key without corruption.

Let me know how you go,

Thanks.

We're good! Less painful than I expected (did have to uninstall the messed-up installation attempt). Appreciate the help!

Thanks, bj

And this is your way to ask for help is it? Very commendable.

Open your security centre, click help/view update licence and all should be ok.
