Help,
A couple of weeks ago, I was bombarded with viruses, trojans, and spyware to so much that I had to re-install my Windows XP because of the damage. I was running CA antivirus and it was updating the signature every hour. After I reinstalled everything, I purchased the Security Suite. I got the samethings again. As they were trying to attack, I was denying them access but it didn't work. After several tries, I was able to get most of them off or at least I think I did but now I get blinks on the desktop and the software will not update. It tells me, "The license validation did not complete successfully: Failed to connect to the update server." I don't know what to do at this point. Please help!

I got this virus but it looks like I still have it.

I am receiving the exact same error. I am a roadrunner user, and we were forced to update all our security software (which they provide). Ever since I have installed the CA products, I've been unable to update ANY of my computer anti-virus software. ALSO, in order to access the internet with firefox, I have to completely disable the firewall, even though the firewall as firefox marked as "safe". I miss EZ Armour! SO easy to use! Can anyone help me figure out why I can't install updates on this licensed software I'm using? Thanks!

Hey cam970,

You can try following this document to fix your updating issue:
http://crm.my-etrust.com/CIDocument.asp?SimpleUI=1&GUID=0726424FA17B4962B15C5F8916372561&ExternalCallID=0&Ver=&AddBookmark=0&KDId=3100

To access the internet you can configure your firewall correctly by following the document below;
http://crm.my-etrust.com/CIDocument.asp?GUID=7D4B8FA1384E441BA160137E2584A3 AD&Ver=&ExternalCallID=0&SimpleUI=1&KDID=2700&AddBookmark=0

If you are still unable to update you may need to look at uninstalling and reinstalling the Security Suite.

Thanks,
