but all my systems say they are on and working i have done a scan with no problems found and im up to date.
what gives ?

Please open CA Security Center and check which part of CA Security shows Attention Needed.

Click on the software and click on Secure Now, It would give you information as to which portion of the software is not getting secured.

Please get me this information and we will work further ...

i did open ca and nothing says that nothing is neded.
and i run a scan and nothing is found but the icon shield at the bottom of my screen on the right has the x in red.??

The Red X that is been shown in the System Tray is incorrect picture as no software within CA Security Suite says "attention needed".

This might be because the installation did not happen correctly.

You may uninstall and reinstall the entire CA Software which would fix this issue.

thanks for the reply
this is an old install has been on and working for going on my 2 year
now today i come home and i get the ca has encountered an error poppup
so i notifyed them of the problem and will see what happens on the next update.

For the same reason people often use system restore in windows but do you bin windows for that reason?
