I'm unable to install CA Internet Security Suite 2007.
Our family get's a free copy of the program through Road Runner. A few months back we received this program as a replacement for ezTrust Firewall (not sure if the names correct). I followed the instructions given to me through email by Road Runner. I download the program, double click to open it, check all agreements and enter my License Key. My problem occurs when the installation stops and I get the following error.

Error E9035: Unable to store license key for CA Internet Secuirty Suite. Installation of CA Internet Security Suite has not completed successfully.

The same thing happened when I first tried installing it a few months back. I submitted the problem to Technical Support and hope to hear back soon.
I've had problems with my pc with installing certain programs in the past. The error seems broad, but any advice would be appreciated.

Dear DM

You could try adding appropriate permissions to the registry to allow the installation to run smoothly,

Please attempt the instructions below;

- Click on 'Start' and then 'Run'
- Type 'Regedit' and then click 'ok'
- Click on the plus to the left of 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE'
- Click on the plus to the left of 'SOFTWARE'
- Right click on the folder called 'Computer Associates' and left click on 'Permissions'
- Click on 'Add'
- Type 'everyone' into the box and click on 'Check Names' ('everyone' should now be underlined)
- Click on 'ok'
- Under 'Group or user names:' left click on 'everyone'
- Under 'Permissions for Administrators' put a tick under 'Allow' for 'Full Control'
- Click on 'Apply' and then 'OK'

Now close all open windows and attempt the installation again.
Please post the results.

Thanks for the quick reply Terrannigma.

It solved my error problem and the installation went through with no real problems, but the programs so laggy and slow.... Any thoughts on this.
I have malware/rootkits on my pc atm. mtmc.exe and Indt2.sys that are plagueing me atm. I'll probably spend the rest of the day trying to solve this problem... I also got a response from Technical Support and they linked me to a tool that would remove all traces of my previous program EZArmor off my pc. I was thinking about uninstalling Suite, running the tool and reinstalling. Would you recommend that? Sigh...

I got the same link from Tech Support. I ran it and reinstalled CA Security Suite 2007, but it's still very laggy. The Suite center freezes and only the Anti-Virus load's properly on it's own. I uninstalled it for now and I'm reinstalling the previous programs I used. Any suggestions for a solution to this lag issue would be appreciated. I may try it again in the future once I remove this malware off of my pc.
